چکیده
This text-book embodies as far as possible the surgical teaching given at the London Hospital. The main object of the book is to give the student an introduction to surgery, and the author also expresses a hope that it may prove useful during his subsequent career, as special emphasis is laid on diagnosis and treatment. A careful perusal of many sections of this work has convinced us that this hope will be more than realized. The treatment of the subject is altogether admirable ; the teaching is imparted in a methodical and succinct manner, and while free from unnecessary verbiage, is yet comprehensive. The arrangement of the text and the distinctness of the headings to paragraphs and sub-sections, materially contribute to this result. We can
